Position Profile

The Senior Web Developer is prominently involved in planning, design, development, implementing and maintaining the core solutions on our platform including social networking applications to create extraordinary broadcast experiences for our customers. Working with cutting edge technologies and software you will manage and collaborate closely with the UR-Channel development team to implement web based application modules and interfaces, website updates and support of our in-house CMS.

The successful candidate must possess certain desired attributes:

  • University Degree or a College Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Ruby on Rails, JRuby, Javascript
  • Familiarity of other open source web application framework
  • Demonstrate skill in handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and programming design skills
  • Deadline and task oriented
  • Ability to work within a collaborative team environment

The successful candidate must have working knowledge of the following languages and software:

  • Rails 4 Ruby 2.93
  • Coffee
  • SCSS
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • JQUERY

In addition the following languages would be considered an asset:

  • MySQL
  • Microsoft SQL
